And now for something completly different.
Well, someone might tell that 10GB for a blog is far too much space. But let us think a bit more practically. Blog is a form of modern self publishing, way to promote your ideas and thoughts in electronic way. But what if I want to publish my blog in „real”, on paper, with hard covers. Well it’s still not the issue, you can always copy your notes to DTP software and publish it. But… What if you want to have this opportunity from every place on the planet, at any given time and in the way you want it?
The most device independent way of having your notes able to be printed everywhere, is to have a high resolution, self contained, ready to print bitmap version of your notes. This way you can secure that you layout, fonts and bitmaps will print on every device that supports bitmap printing. For a proper 300dpi A4/Letter page you need roughly a 2400px by 3000px image, preferably in industrial standard uncompressed TIFF format (about 20MB per page).
So, let us assume that one note is accompanied with one page. Having 10GB of storage space we can only have about 500 pages. For everybody who is blogging everyday is less then two years of content! C’mon! Our blogs supposed to be future proof!
